Independence Beach (Erf 4745, Walvis Bay Extension 5) is one of the few remaining open spaces in Kuisebmond. The site is currently zoned Single Residential and may be developed for housing in the future.
The Joint Walvis Bay Residents Association (JWBRA) is proposing that the erf should be rezoned to Public Open Space for everyone to enjoy.
